VP-Claire McCaskill or Mary Landrieu or Janet Napolitano.  It's got to be a woman to bring the party back together.

Ckaire McCaskill is a warrior.  If you recall that during the Missouri primary, a primary Clinton was supposed to win, Clinton was leading all night long.  And it wasn't until all precincts were counted did Obama squeak by 49% to 48%.  I remember McCaskill saying that Obama would win Missouri.

He did indeed.

I said right then, that that McCaskill has moxie.  That's one tough lady.

And everytime she has been on TV since for Obama, she has not wavered.  She always gives a strong presentation.

America, you have to look at the dynamics of this.

Here is a white lady from a borderline southern state, who threw in early for the rookie black guy.  That took a whole "lotta" guts

If you think Hillary has guts, McCaskill has guts to the 10th power.

And  you can imagine the intense pressure she was under when the Rev Wright issue hit.

Not only had she thrown in with the rookie black guy, but she had thrown in with the rookie black who had a seemingly anti-American black pastor.

A powder keg combination down south that could have not only halted Obama's run, but could have blown McCaskill's career right out of the water.

The easy thing for her to do would have been to distance herself from Obama.

But what did this lady of courage do on TV.  She hung in there like a champ!!!

Obama has got to pick a woman to bring this party together; and McCaskill is the one.

If she campaigned that hard for Obama during the Wright issue, imagine letting her loose on the campaign trail now that that is behind us.

Oh sure, the Repubs will recycle Wright, but America has moved beyond Wright.

McCaskill would be like an indefatigable energizer bunny blazing a trail through American history.  It would be a glorious day.

Though Landrieu is probably for Clinton, she deserves consideration.

It took great courage to sponsor and then get passed the "Apology for Lynching Bill."  And she really showed real leadership during Katrina.

America, you should be proud of these women.  They don't take the easy way out.

The social dynamics are amazing.

A white woman from the deepest of the deep south fighting for poor black people with the lynching bill; and all people during Katrina.

Uncommon valor worthy of the Congressional Gold Medal.

Napolitano deserves consideration.  From a political stand point, she makes sense.  The west and southwest are going to be important this year.  She fits the bill.

She is tough and well spoken.

If not VP, Obama has to find a place for her in his Administration.

Supreme Court-Bill Richardson first right out of the gate.  The Hispanics have got to be recognized in a history making position.

                        Second opening-Chris Dodd-got to get this statesman on the Court.

                        Third opening-John Kerry-Another statesman

                        Fourth opening-Eleanor Homes Norton

If Obama wins the presidency, and appoints Bill Richardson, Chris Dodd, John Kerry, and Eleanor Homes Norton to the Supreme Court as available, America would have the equivalent of four presidents and a Secretary of State in two of the most important jobs in the United States.  America's stature in the world would be back!!!

There is no question that Richardson could be president.

There is no question, that except for this year, Dodd would be president.

There is no question that Kerry is presidential timbre right now.

Sec Defense-Richard Lugar  Consideration: Sam Nunn, Jim Webb.

Lugar and Obama locked down loose nukes; so Lugar is a reach across the aisle natural choice.

Before there was Lugar Obama loose nukes, there was Lugar Nunn loose nukes; so Nunn deserves consideration; plus he is from the deep South-Georgia.

Jim Webb makes sense.  The South-Virginia.  Sec of Navy under Reagan-Strong on defense

Attorney General-John Edwards.  Consideration; Elaine Jones, Ted Shaw, Wade Henderson.

Edwards is the natural choice; if and when he endorses Obama.  If he endorses his opponent then I would give Jones, Shaw or Henderson a chance; or at least put them in the Civil Rights Division at Justice.

Sec of State-Chris Dodd at first.  After the second opening to the Supreme Court-Dodd moves to the Supreme Court and Joe Biden moves to Sec of State

Michelle Vetoes Hillary

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Close-in supporters of Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign are convinced he never will offer the vice presidential nomination to Sen. Hillary Clinton for one overriding reason: Michelle Obama.

The Democratic front-runner's wife did not comment on other rival candidates for the party's nomination, but she has been sniping at Clinton since last summer. According to Obama sources, those public utterances do not reveal the extent of her hostility.

This has been an historic and exciting campaign. Millions of new voters have been brought into the process and their enthusiasm for the Democratic Party and the principles for which you and I have fought and continue to fight is unprecedented.

One of the foremost principles of our party is that citizens be allowed to vote and that those votes be counted. That principle is not currently being applied to the nearly 2.5 million people who voted in primaries in Florida and Michigan. Whoever emerges as the Democratic nominee will be hamstrung in the general election if a fair and quick resolution is not reached that ensures that the voices of these voters are heard. Our commitment now to this goal could be the difference between winning and losing in November.

I have consistently said that the votes cast in Florida and Michigan in January should be counted. We cannot ignore the fact that the people in those states took the time to be a part of this process and to make their preferences known. When efforts were untaken [sic] by leaders in those states to hold revotes to ensure that they had a voice in selecting our nominee, I supported those efforts. In Michigan, I supported a legislative effort to hold a revote that the Democratic National Committee said was in complete compliance with the party's rules. You did not support those efforts and your supporters in Michigan publically [sic] opposed them. In Florida a number of revote options were proposed. I am not aware of any that you supported. In 2000, the Republicans won an election by successfully opposing a fair counting of votes in Florida. As Democrats, we must reject any proposals that would do the same.

Your commitment to the voters of these states must be clearly stated and your support for a fair and quick resolution must be clearly demonstrated.

I am asking you to join me in working with representatives from Florida and Michigan and the Democratic National Committee to arrive at a solution that honors the votes of the millions of people who went to the polls in Florida and Michigan. It is not enough to simply seat their representatives at the convention in Denver. The people of these great states, like the people who have voted and are to vote in other states, must have a voice in selecting our party's nominee.
